Why Chose Bradens?
Most interior designers work independently — they charge you by the hour, mark up every piece of furniture, add fees for freight and storage, and pass along manufacturer pricing they can't negotiate down. By the time your project is done, you've paid a premium at every step.
Braden's is different. We're a design studio with the scale and buying power of a full-service furniture retailer. Our in-house designers bring the same creative vision and expertise as any independent firm — working directly with your architect, developing floor plans, selecting finishes, and managing your project from concept to installation — but because we source directly from over 200 premium brands, we pass manufacturer-level pricing on to you instead of marking it up.
That means no storage fees, no surprise freight charges, and no inflated product costs. Our design retainers even credit back toward your furniture purchases — so your investment in design goes directly toward furnishing your home.

Frequently Asked Questions About Interior Design at Bradens
How much does interior design cost at Bradens?
Any design work related to furniture selection — choosing pieces, fabrics, finishes, and layouts from our collection — is always complimentary. For multi-room and whole-home projects, we require a deposit starting at $1,500 to secure your designer's time, ranging up to $3,000–$5,000 for larger homes. The best part? Your retainer credits directly toward your furniture purchase, so the investment in design goes right back into furnishing your home. Any design time beyond what's included is billed at $85 per hour.
How is Braden's different from hiring an independent interior designer?
Most independent designers charge by the hour, mark up the furniture they source, and add separate fees for freight and storage. Because Braden's is both a design studio and a furniture retailer, we source directly from over 200 premium brands at manufacturer pricing — and pass that value on to you. No storage fees, no freight surprises, no product markups. You get boutique-level design with retail-level pricing.
How long does it take to receive furniture?
We carry over $6 million in in-stock inventory across our two showrooms, so many pieces are available for immediate or near-immediate delivery. For special orders — custom fabrics, finishes, or configurations — most vendors deliver in 4–8 weeks. Highly customized pieces or certain vendors can take longer, and your designer will give you a clear timeline before you place your order so there are never any surprises.
When should I start working with a designer if I'm building a new home?
As early as possible. The earlier we're involved, the more we can coordinate with your architect and builder on everything from furniture layouts and finish selections to lighting plans and built-in details — decisions that are much harder (and more expensive) to change after the walls go up. And don't worry about timing your furniture purchase around your build schedule. We have a 70,000-square-foot warehouse and are happy to hold your selections until your home is ready for delivery and installation.
What does your design process look like?
It starts with a conversation — in our showroom, in your home, or virtually. From there, your designer develops concepts, floor plans, and material selections tailored to your space. For larger projects, that includes detailed schematic designs, elevations, finish selections, and full design presentations. Once everything is approved, we handle ordering, coordination, and white-glove installation.
Can you work with my architect or contractor?
Yes — this is one of our strengths. Our designers regularly collaborate with architects and contractors on new builds and renovations, handling everything from finish selections and interior architecture to furniture planning around construction timelines.
Do I have to buy furniture from Bradens to use the design service?
Our design service is built around our curated collection, and our designers have hands-on knowledge of every piece we carry. That's what allows us to offer complimentary and retainer-credited design — the service and the product work together to deliver better value than either would alone.
Can you work with furniture I already own?
Absolutely. Our designers are experienced at blending existing pieces with new selections to create a cohesive, refreshed look — whether that's keeping a few favorites or building around an heirloom.
Do you work on commercial projects?
Yes. We design for restaurants, hotels, apartment complexes, shared outdoor spaces, and rental properties. The same team and buying power behind our residential work applies to commercial — so you get design-driven spaces at a competitive price point.
Do you offer financing?
Yes — 12-month special financing is available through Wells Fargo, so you can bring your design vision to life on a timeline that works for your budget.
